I want you to get the care you deserve.
Hi! My name is Jordyn…
Hi, my name is Jordyn and walking alongside individuals and families in their journeys toward healing is my passion. My desire is to provide a safe and non-judgemental place for clients to grow. My area of specialty is working with teens and adults who are struggling with eating disorders and helping them heal their relationship with food and their bodies. I also have a special interest in working with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, depression, people pleasing tendencies and the many difficulties that arise during this time of life.
I have been working with people impacted by eating disorders for the past 10 years, playing many different roles in helping people work towards eating disorder recovery both in my personal and professional life. Prior to receiving my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University, I was a mentor, educated college students on eating disorders and led support groups. Since receiving my degree in 2016, I’ve worked in different treatment settings, including an intensive outpatient treatment center for eating disorders, providing group therapy, individual therapy and family therapy. My focus now is treating eating disorders and co-occurring disorders on an outpatient basis.
Providing trauma informed care is essential in my work, as many people who have developed eating disorders also have experienced trauma throughout their lifetime. I have received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which I use to help clients find healing that lasts. It is important to me that clients feel seen and validated as they open up and share vulnerable parts of themselves and I feel honored to be a part of their story.
